Join OUTright’s Amazing Race Volunteer Crew!
We are looking for some gracious, fun-loving, energetic individuals who might want to participate in this insanity from the sidelines during our 2nd annual Amazing Race.
Of course, we’ll need help on Friday night, September 21st, preparing for the race: delivering challenge materials to challenge locations, setting up the check-in desk, marking off booth spaces, etc.
On Amazing Race Day, Saturday, September 22nd, from 8 am - 2 pm:
Volunteers may be assigned to one or more Pit Stop or Challenge location in the Greater Hickory Metro area to set-up and clean-up challenges, judge teams, regulate team traffic and even test the challenges themselves.
The social media team will take and post photos and videos of competition, release next stop locations, and communicate the fun and excitement on social media.
This is a great opportunity for friends, family members, college students and co-workers to work together and execute a fun event for race participants and guests.
Pit Stop and Challenge Volunteers: Clear guidelines will be given to you prior to the event so you can prepare. You will have one mandatory meeting with OAR coordinators, to ensure accurate delivery of the challenge. Groups of volunteers can range from two to six people, depending on the complexity of the challenge.
In addition to that feel good feeling, volunteers will receive an Amazing Race Volunteer t-shirt to wear the day of the event
